For playing movies it has a built-in 7 watt mono speaker, not terribly powerful, but adaquate for a quiet room. The Sanyo LP-XU355 is more powerful than its counterpart the LP-XU300, providing 3500 ANSI lumens, 500 lumens more than the cheaper version. It comes with D-Sub and DVI inputs, a USB connection, and a wireless capability that allows it to be connected to multiple computers.
