Introduced at CES 2009, the HD8200 is a high end home theater projector from Optoma. Featuring Texas Instruments' DLP DarkChip3 technology and Pixelworks' PW9800 co-processor with DNX MotionEngine, the HD8200 presents film-like performance in full 1080p.

Rated at 1,300 ANSI lumens and a 20,000:1 contrast ratio the HD8200 has been engineered for custom installations only, while a cheaper and slightly less high end projector, the HD808 will be available though mainstream outlets. With a MSRP of $5000 the HD8200 ships later this month.
