Optoma HD65

$1,000.00 Released October, 2007

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Setup is very easy, with colors out of the box being superior to most other projectors. Very bright, can handle some lights being on in the room without a struggle. Can't pick out an individual pixel at a typical viewing distance, looks seamless.

The Cons:Lamps don't last very long, depending on use. Generates a fair amount of heat even with brightness turned down. Need to ensure that you can control the light in the room - sunlight will wash the picture out.

The Optoma HD65 is a fully high definition DLP projector with a native resolution of 1280x720. The HD65 features Texas Instruments’ DarkChip2 DLP Technology, and projects images at a 1600 lumen brightness and 4000:1 contrast ratio.

Inputs include HDMI 1.3, Component, VGA, Composite, S-Video, and USB connections. At 29 dB, the Optoma HD65 is still louder than average projectors, but still quieter than Optoma’s other heavy hitters, like the HD7100/HD7300.
