Marantz's top-of-the-line model, the $15,000 VP-11S2, is similar, but has four .95" chips. The VP-15S1's high-end specs include 1000:1 ANSI contrast, 1000 ANSI Lumen brightness, and 90% brightness uniformity. The color wheel spins at 9000 RPM, eliminating color breakup, while the device's motor is designed to ensure quiet operation in spite of the high frame rate. The VP-15S1 is also highly versatile, with two lens options, solutions for 2.35:1 viewing, and a mechanical lens shift. It is available in a Long Throw version at added cost.
