The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8700 is a projector built for home theater systems. This is similar to the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8350, with the same basic construction and components. The brightness has been turned down to 1600 Lumens in this case in order to accommodate a more sensitive 200,000:1 contrast ratio.

This allows a clearer distinction between dark colors, allowing for a more vibrant picture even when the scene isn`t bright. HDMI inputs accept input that can be displayed at full 1080p high definition, and video can be updated at 60 frames per second for smooth, comfortable viewing.
