Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 6500 UB

$3,000.00 Released September, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Very quiet unit. New bulb has a very long lifetime. Excellent menus and reasonably good user guide.

The Cons:No second bulb or stand. Currently very little information on the unit as Epson is still changing the specifications and naming schemes. Focus shifts over time (2 hours and image is very soft)--and this with the focus ring *taped in place*.

First spotted in early September 2008 at CEDIA, the PowerLite Home Cinema 6500 UB is a high end high definition projector by Epson designed for home theaters. Featuring 3LCD display technology, a 200W E-TORL lamp, a Silicon Optix Reon-X video processor and a brightness rating of 1600 ANSI lumens, the 6500 UB can display a full 1080p resolution (1920 x 1280) at a quiet 22dB.
