Casio XJ-A240

The Casio XJ-A240 is a 5 pound, portable projector capable of producing 2,500 lumen images at 720p HD resolution. Casio is marketing this as an eco-friendly product with a lamp life of 20,000 hours. Instead of a bulb, the XJ-A240 uses a proprietary combination of LED and laser technologies.

Inputs on this projector include VGA and HDMI, allowing for a wide range of devices to be connected. Users who give presentations from their laptops will likely appreciate the native WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, while those interested in portable gaming or Blu-ray movie watching can take the HD experience with them on the road. A 2x optical zoom has been integrated for precisely positioning the projector’s image. Composite and component inputs are also available, however audio pass-through is not supported. Instead, a 1W speaker has been built into the projector.
